PRIMUS Techsystems on top of the World!
Fearless explorer Mr. Bhagwan Chawale takes PRIMUS Techsystems to Mt. Everest
17-May-2018
Mount Everest exhibit outstanding universal value, integrity, and authenticity and can only be experienced when you visit this home of the gods which is also called Chomolungma, the Mother of Gods.
A trekker and mountaineer Bhagwan Chawale from Pune, India, thought of experiencing this inner beauty and started a journey to climb the world’ highest and most gruelling mountain range, Mt Everest, in year 2017 which is successfully completed with his summit to Mt Everest on 17th May 2018.
The climb and challenges of Mt Everest are far away from the Bhagwan’s day to day job. Bhagwan Chawale is a development officer at the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), Pune
As an experienced trekker, he began his thirst for adventure over ten years ago and regularly practices in the Sahyadri Mountain Range near the West Coast of India. He completed his mountaineering course from Javahar Institute of Mountaineering at Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir State of India.
Bhagwan Chawale, who had attempted a solo expedition to reach the top of Mount Everest in 2017, missed out the peak due to bad weather in the last patch. However, without losing hope, this year he managed to fulfil his dream. On the 17th May 2018, Bhagwan successfully climbed the whole 8850m (29,035ft) and reached the summit at 6:40am.
“I was just 100-m away from the peak at the Hillary Step, but unfortunately was forced to return as the weather started becoming worse. Instead of foolishly risking my life, I decided to take a step back and try again. I had promised the Mt Chomolungma (Mt Everest) that I will come back and reach the peak. This time I am hoping to finish the incomplete task,” Chawale had said before leaving for the expedition.
Whilst at the top Bhagwan took the opportunity to thank all his sponsors, family and supporters who have encouraged and motivated him over the last 12-18 months to complete the challenge. Whilst at the summit, he even took time to proudly display the PRIMUS flag and take our brand to the top of the world.
Completing the Everest Expedition has taught Bhagwan and his team many things including patience, persistence, hard work and team spirit. These are just some of the values we share with Bhagwan, along with his tenacity to keep moving forward and his focus on reaching his end goal.
Thank you Bhagwan and we would all like to wish you luck for your next expedition.
